Simon Hemmer plays with shape, colour and several layers of paint in his work.
He uses different techniques to express his artistic vision – always maintaining a characteristic, abstract style. Hemmer studied at Kunstakademie Düsseldorf and was educated by Albert Oehlen and Dieter Krieg. Today, he lives and works in Málaga and Cologne.

In his solo-exhibition alle gegen alle at POP;68 Hemmer shows a variety of artworks, ranging from large-scaled canvasses to smaller but not less complex paperworks. Using both floors of the project-space the artworks are placed in diverse surroundings.
