Henrik Vibskov at Lillehammer Kunstmuseum

20.11.20 -27.03.21

You can experience wearable art in autumn 2021, when Danish fashion designer Henrik Vibskov conquers the Lillehammer art museum.

Henrik Vibskov (born 1972) is a famous Danish artist, avant-garde fashion designer and musician who trained at Central Saint Martins in London. With his conceptual performance-style fashion shows, experimental costumes for
theater, ballet and opera, and spectacular installation exhibitions around the world, Henrik Vibskov has established himself as one of the most interesting names in the fashion world.

Through the various forms of expression, Vibskov explores the challenges of ourtime in terms of the environment,
sustainability and technological presence. In the exhibition at the Lillehammer Art Museum, Vibskov will create installations that are tailored to the Snøhetta architecture of the museum. In addition, a crosssection of selected projects from fashion, art and performance will be presented.

Above all, Alexander Ekman’s ballet A Swan Lake will occupy a central place with costumes from the Norwegian Opera, where Vibskov designed all the costumes for this great success from 2014 onwards.
