UFO – Unforeseen Feelings Observed A Group Show curated by Luisa Schlotterbeck

New York 2025/06/27 2025/08/02

Luisa Schlotterbeck presents her first curated show, Ufo – Unforeseen Feelings Observed, with Ruttkowski;68 in New York.

Unidentified Flying Object, Unforeseen Feelings Observed—Ufo is a Pace Of Encounter With The Unexpected. It attempts to explore moments of identity rupture, not only as crises but as portals: what happens when we gather the remnants of ourselves, and something new emerges? What traces remain from what has shaken us? The unknown is an inevitable part of our experience—something that cannot be avoided but must be navigated, shaped, and, perhaps, understood in its own right. Heartbreak, like a ufo, arrives unannounced, destabilizing what we thought we knew, leaving us searching for meaning in its wake. This exhibition is an archive of fleeting emotions. It brings together images, objects, and atmospheres that speak of disappearance and reappearance, of what escapes our control and yet inevitably affects us. It is a gaze toward the sky, toward a trace that may be real or merely a reflection—but one that, once seen, never truly vanishes.
