The Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen presents the first monographic museum exhibition of the actor and artist Lars Eidinger (*1976) at K21.

The exhibition ‘O Mensch’ presents a selection of photographs and videos taken between 2018 and 2024 (with a few exceptions dating back to 2006). The images, mostly taken on the road with a smartphone or SLR camera, convey the much-traveled actor’s view of the world. Whether on tour or at film locations such as London, Paris, Beijing, Tokyo, Sydney, Seoul, New York, or in his hometown of Berlin, Eidinger focuses on distant, inconspicuous details and magnifies them. Seemingly insignificant situations are captured in all their contradictions, both tenderly and mercilessly.
